Second Dark War

The Second Dark War refers to the fight between the followers of the Dark Lord Voldemort and those who opposed them, officially beginning in June 1995, following the Death of Cedric Diggory and the return of Voldemort to his full strength. Though some historians argue that the second war still continues in Europe, it is largely agreed that the ongoing conflicts are independent of this period which, it has been recorded, ended with the death of Voldemort on the 11th April, 2006 and the subsequent defeat of his last generals at the Battle for Paris in France, on the 17th April, 2006.
